2015 How to purchase cheaper travel insurance 如何购买较便宜旅游保险
Normally, when we purchase AirAsia promotion ticket, we also include travel insurance as part of the purchase.
Actually, there are cheaper travel insurance compare to AA travel insurance.
In my last trip, it saves me around 30% to purchase Ace travel insurance.
It is convenience and you could purchase online.
Below is my experience:
1. Book your promotion ticket without travel insurance.
2. Check out online to find competitive travel insurance. I select this company - https://www.acetravelinsurance.com.my/
3. For a ten days insurance , my travel to Japan, period 26/11/15 to 05/12/15 for 10 days.
AirAsia charges RM50 per person.
For Ace travel insurance, there are a few options:
a) Individual plan RM43.75
b) Self and Spouse RM74.50 for 2 pax
b) Family plan (+2 Child) RM94.75
c) Group Plan (4 pax) RM145 for 4 pax, RM36.25 per pax
i) Ace offers four type of plans, the lowest plan is similar to AA in terms of benefits. However, the child benefit is much lower!
ii) Ace also offers annual plan.
For frequent traveler, annual plan will save more $$$.
4. How to purchase:
i) Goto https://www.acetravelinsurance.com.my/
ii) You will get the Main page of the Ace:
iii) Put in your selections:
a) Where : Domestic, Asia Pacific, Worldwide excluding Cuba
b) Who : Just Me, Insured and Spouse, Family. For Group, select Just Me. For family, key in number of dependents
c) Adults - no of adults when you purchase group insurance
d) When - Single Trip or annual plan
e) For single trip, key in your start date and end date. For annual plan, key in start date.
f) Click on "Get a Quite"
g) Select the plan you wish to purchase
h) Key in the particular as per screen and the name, IC no, date of birth, sex, relationship. Click continue after you have input the details.
i) You will reach a payment screen, key in your credit card details and click "Purchase"
j) Once your credit card has been successfully transacted, your purchase is complete.
k) You will receive your policy via email.
