2015 How to engage a free tour guide in Tokyo, Japan 如何在日本东京找免费导游
To get a tour guide in Tokyo and guide you around could be costly. It costs around Yen20,000 to Yen30,000 per day or higher.
在东京请导游费用好高，一天约2万到3万日圆或更高。
If you are a free and easy traveler or a small group of members (less than 10) and wish to get a guide to bring you around. Here are some tips.
如果您是自游行或小组行（少过10位），可以找免费导游带你游东京。
1. There are a few website that will offer free tour guide. Some website offer tour guide in different languages.
日本有几个免费导游网站。有些还提供其他国的语言免费导游。
2. In my last trip to Tokyo city tour, I engaged this group - Edo Tokyo Guide Group (edo.tokyo.guide.int@gmail.com). They sent 3 tour guides for my group of 13 pax and guide us
through the day and be our translator with our bus driver.
最近我们一团13人去日本东京游玩。联络上Edo Tokyo Guide Group。因本团13人，他们带来三位导游带我们游玩东京，也做我们与司机的翻译员。
Note: I also engaged an Odawara/Hakone free guide. However, this was cancelled last minutes as
the guide did not serve the group goes by bus. So, pls check and confirm with the guide during
your engagement.
备注：我也安排了箱根的免费导游。但最后一分钟取消因为他们不接受租巴士的团体。联络时，请弄清楚。
3. You write an email to the above email address or download the form from their website. They will
send you a form to be fill up with the information such as date/time of visit, no of pax, places to visit etc.
写封简单的邮件要求免费导游。注明日期，地点，行程等。

4. Once they accepted your request, a guide will be assigned and you start the email engagement with
that guide.
当你的要求被接受，他们会委人一位导游与你联络。你就开始和他联络，通常是通过电邮。
5. The guide will also let you know how much you need to reimburse them to/from their home to the
meeting place. The reimbursement will normally be minimal. For my group, the tour guide asked for
Yen3,000.
他也会告知您所应付的一些费用。基本上是当天他来回与你见面的车费。
6. You will cover their meal or entrance fee where applicable.
您也须付用餐费或景点入门票（如有）。
7. You may give them some tips if you wish. This is optional.
您也可以给一些小费。随您的意思有好。

i) Professional guide (need to pay fee)
ii) Volunteer guide (goodwill guide) - free
选 Choose volunteer guide (goodwill guide) if you preferred no fee.
