Myanmar trip 01-05 Jun 2017. Day 01 - upon arrival at Yangon airport, we board the tour bus to travel to Kyaikhtiyo. The journey is around 209km. The journey took around 4 hours to reach the Base. From there, we boarded the truck and took us 45 min to reach to the top. The truck will stop at mid way to drop / pick up passengers. Besides truck, the other way to reach you the top is foot tracking journey. The truck will ferry max 42 people. The operator will wait until the truck is full before departure. There are seven rows in the truck, One row will occupy six people, if you occupy less than six, you have to pay full 6 people fee. The truck journey costs around Ks2000 per way per person. The entrance fee to golden rock temple is Ks6000. Usd1 = Ks1350. Ks = Kyat, Myanmar currency. At present, they are building cable car from mid way to the top.
